6 easy and fun team building games for any meetings and virtual parties

Looking for ideas on how to make your meetings more interactive and fun? We've gathered six great activities for you that are easy to do in both work sessions and virtual office parties. Not only will they help break up the routine, but they'll also help build team spirit. Let's go!

1.“Bring Me Something.”

A very simple and unexpected game. The host asks the participants to bring any object from home - without explaining why. Have everyone find something at hand. When everyone returns, ask two questions: What is common between this object and you? And in what ways are you different?
For example, I brought a pencil: it can be sharpened, just as I can develop my skills. And the difference is the pencil writes that can be erased, while my words stay forever. This game helps to get to know each other better and develops the ability to improvise.

2.“Draw what you hear.”

Ask participants to prepare paper and pencil in advance. The facilitator describes the picture or simply gives instructions - for example, “on the left a big circle, under it a tree, on the right three triangles”. Participants draw and then show their work on the screen.
You'd be surprised how differently people perceive the same words! This is a great way to practice attentive listening and lift your spirits.

3.“Weave a Story.”

Start with the first sentence, for example: “Rakesh and Mike were driving to a party at night.” Each person takes turns adding a sentence, developing the story: “Suddenly the car broke down”, “Rakesh noticed that his phone was dead” and so on.
The story can be funny, mysterious or adventurous - the important thing is that everyone participates and listens to each other. The last participant completes the story or the facilitator summarizes the story.

4.“Guess Who.”

Before the meeting, ask participants to share an interesting fact about themselves that only they know. The facilitator reads out these facts and the team tries to guess who they are talking about.
It's fun and helps you learn unexpected details about your coworkers.

5.“Start a sentence.”

The presenter gives the beginning of a sentence, for example: “I am grateful because...” or ‘I would like to learn more about... because...’. Everyone finishes the sentence in their own way.
You can make the game serious or fun - it all depends on the mood of the team. It helps to understand each other better and create a trusting atmosphere.

6.“Mission: Remember.”

In this game, participants recall which of their colleagues said certain things or shared facts. For example: “Who said he had a habit of biting his nails?” or ”Who thanked me for a good job?”
This is a fun way to reinforce team knowledge and strengthen personal bonds.
All of these games are easy to organize, don't require special props, and work great both offline and online. Try them out at your next meeting and you'll see how the atmosphere changes and team bonding grows.
